Ceiling Fan Installation in Alamo Heights, TX

A ceiling fan installation is not just about aesthetics and air circulation. A properly sized, modern ceiling fan can save you on cooling costs in the summer and heating expenses in the winter. If you want to get the most out of your ceiling fan installation in Alamo Heights, however, make sure to leave the mounting to a certified electrician. DIY installations, or hiring a handyman, can lead to mistakes which cause headaches in the long-run. If you are looking for a uniformed electrician from a reputable company, then call Mr. Electric to schedule an appointment.

The Benefits of a Ceiling Fan

The most obvious advantage of a ceiling fan is air circulation. By moving air throughout the room, the ceiling fan can reduce hot spots and freshen up areas with stale air, odors, and indoor pollutants.

Many ceiling fans also come with integrated light fixtures, giving you additional lighting options to enhance the overall appearance of the room. Speaking of aesthetics, ceiling fans come in a variety of styles, sizes, and finishes that can complement your décor and improve the ambiance of your living space.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, there are the cost savings. Ceiling fans use significantly less energy compared to air conditioning systems, and they provide a cooling effect on the skin, making you feel more comfortable even at higher temperatures. According to the Department of Energy, a ceiling fan will allow you to raise the thermostat setting about 4°F with no reduction in comfort.

Modern ceiling fans even come with reversable motors. In warmer months, the fan can rotate counterclockwise to create a cooling breeze, while in colder months, it can be set to rotate clockwise to help distribute warm air that naturally rises.

When to Repair or Replace the Ceiling Fan

Ceiling fans are not built or designed to last forever. Wear and tear as well as accidental damage to the mechanical and electrical components can take their toll. So, when is it time for your ceiling fan replacement in Alamo Heights? Some signs that’s time to replace the ceiling fan include:

  • Wobbling or shaking ceiling fan.
  • Unusual or loud noises.
  • Physical damage beyond repair.
  • Poor energy efficiency.
  • Outdated model or style.

You may also consider a ceiling fan replacement if you want to take advantage of modern features like remote or smart control. In general, we recommend a replacement if the cost of repairs exceeds half the price of a new unit.

Exhaust Fan Replacements

An exhaust fan is essential for inherently stuffy or humid areas, such as the kitchen, bathroom, or basement. Like any mechanical device, exhaust fans have a limited lifespan and they must eventually be replaced. It might be time for an exhaust fan replacement if you notice reduced airflow, loud noises, moisture and mold issues, physical or electrical damage, and safety concerns.

The ceiling fan installers in Alamo Heights at Mr. Electric have the expertise, experience, and equipment to handle ceiling fan replacements as well as exhaust fan replacements. Call Mr. Electric today to schedule a convenient appointment. Our live representatives are on standby to address any questions or concerns you may have.

Our Customers Love our Services

John was on time, explained the issue I was having, offered me a couple of options, and then repaired the switch that was giving me problems, following my preferences of the choices he had given me.  He was pleasant, professional, and did a great job.  Would not hesitate to  use Mr. Electric again!

Austin, electrician and his teammate we’re great! Both were punctual, courteous, and very informative in explaining the situation and their recommendations to replace a bad breaker in our panel.  There was NO frivolous attempt up-sale to items we didn’t need and they were straight to the point honest in their recommendation. In the end, I would described the customer service Austin and his teammate provided me as, AWESOME! Being a new home owner, I am glad I have found  this company and will be using them any future electrical needs!

Outstanding communication and very professional service.  I would highly recommend Mr. Electric.  Received both e-mails and texts on appointment to include a photo and short bio of the actual electrician (Brad Mason) who would be doing the work.  Wish all home service providers did the same.  Brad was on time (actually a few minutes early).  He installed 30AMP breaker and associated RV plug in our garage.  To avoid any sheetrock repairs it was necessary for him to drop the line to the house electric panel through a wall with foam insulation, with very limited head/body clearance for him to work.  No mess left behind from the actual plug installation on another wall.

Rick from Mr. Electric arrived when expected and quickly diagnosed the problem.  He recommended a solution and gave us a proposal for solving the problem.  We asked when he could do the work and how long would it take.  He said he could do the job that day and it would take 4 or 5 hours.  The price was reasonable, and we told him to get started.  He did a very good job, neat and within the estimated time.  The invoice amount for the job was was the same as the proposal amount.  We are planning on having Mr. Electric and hopefully Rick do more work in the near future to upgrade our home's 50+ year old electrical system.
