Electric Vehicle Charger Installation in Boerne, TX

Electric vehicles have surged in popularity in the past couple of decades, but the infrastructure has some catching up to do. While there is a gas station practically everywhere we need, the number of EV charging systems are lacking. Luckily, you can have your very own electric vehicle charger installation in Boerne right on your property. Call Mr. Electric or continue reading to learn more about how you can have an EV charging systems installation on-site. Our team is on standby to address questions or concerns you may have.

The Types of EV Chargers Available

EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment), also known as EV charging stations, are devices that deliver power to an electric vehicle's battery. These stations come in various types, including Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 (DC fast charging). Each level offers different charging speeds and power levels.

Level 1 electric vehicle chargers use the standard outlet found in homes and businesses. These outlets supply users with 120 volts, which is typically enough energy to provide about 5 miles of range per hour. Unsurprisingly, this is not going to be enough for most people.

A Level 2 electric vehicle charging station installation is more practical and uses a dedicated outlet that can deliver 240 volts. These can power an average electric vehicle from empty to 80 percent in a few hours. If you’re short on time, however, then DC charging may be for you.

DC charging which comes with Level 3 charging stations, delivers the fastest charging. In many cases, you can charge your electric car’s battery to 80% in 30 minutes with this top tier electric vehicle charger installation. Sadly, the electrical infrastructure in residential areas usually do not support Level 3 charging systems. These are, however, ideal for many businesses.

A Convenient, Cost-Effective Investment

Imagine arriving home after a long day, plugging in your EV, and waking up to a fully charged vehicle. To make things sweeter, the electricity rates you get at your home are considerably lower than those at public charging stations. With a dedicated charging point at home, you have the freedom to charge at your convenience and save money doing so.

Prospective homebuyers are also going to be familiar with the benefits. Environmentally-conscious individuals with their own EV will be prepared to pay a premium for a home with an on-site electric vehicle charging station installation. This makes an on-site EV charger a great investment.

Our Customers Love our Services

John was on time, explained the issue I was having, offered me a couple of options, and then repaired the switch that was giving me problems, following my preferences of the choices he had given me.  He was pleasant, professional, and did a great job.  Would not hesitate to  use Mr. Electric again!

Austin, electrician and his teammate we’re great! Both were punctual, courteous, and very informative in explaining the situation and their recommendations to replace a bad breaker in our panel.  There was NO frivolous attempt up-sale to items we didn’t need and they were straight to the point honest in their recommendation. In the end, I would described the customer service Austin and his teammate provided me as, AWESOME! Being a new home owner, I am glad I have found  this company and will be using them any future electrical needs!

Outstanding communication and very professional service.  I would highly recommend Mr. Electric.  Received both e-mails and texts on appointment to include a photo and short bio of the actual electrician (Brad Mason) who would be doing the work.  Wish all home service providers did the same.  Brad was on time (actually a few minutes early).  He installed 30AMP breaker and associated RV plug in our garage.  To avoid any sheetrock repairs it was necessary for him to drop the line to the house electric panel through a wall with foam insulation, with very limited head/body clearance for him to work.  No mess left behind from the actual plug installation on another wall.

Rick from Mr. Electric arrived when expected and quickly diagnosed the problem.  He recommended a solution and gave us a proposal for solving the problem.  We asked when he could do the work and how long would it take.  He said he could do the job that day and it would take 4 or 5 hours.  The price was reasonable, and we told him to get started.  He did a very good job, neat and within the estimated time.  The invoice amount for the job was was the same as the proposal amount.  We are planning on having Mr. Electric and hopefully Rick do more work in the near future to upgrade our home's 50+ year old electrical system.
