Electric Vehicle Charger Installation in Converse, TX

Electric vehicles (EV) are growing in popularity, with reports showing EV sales were up around 30 percent in 2023. One thing getting in the way of full electric vehicle adoption is the availability of charging stations.

Luckily, while businesses and even governments are investing in public infrastructure, homeowners have the option and opportunity to arrange their very own electric vehicle charger installation on-site. If you are interested in an electric vehicle charger installation in Converse, then grab the phone and call Mr. Electric to get started with a consultation today.

Charging Your Electric Vehicle at Home

An EV charging systems installation allows you to conveniently charge your electric vehicle at home. You can go about your day or even go to bed while your vehicle charges. It’s worth mentioning, however, that the standard household outlet offers about 120 volts, providing an average of 2 to 5 miles of range per hour of charging. Without a dedicated charging station, your vehicle will charge slowly.

If you want faster charging, then you’ll need greater power output. This typically requires a dedicated outlet delivering more voltage. Level 2 charging operates at 240 volts and offers around 10 to 60 miles of range per hour, depending on the charging station's power output and the EV model. This can charge the average EV from zero to 80% charge in roughly four or five hours.

There is an even faster electric vehicle charging station installation. Level 3 charging stations, also known as DC fast chargers, can charge an electric vehicle to 80% charge in roughly 30 minutes. Sadly, most residential properties do not have the underlying capacity to install a level 3 charging station, and this is typically reserved for commercial sites.

Still, call Mr. Electric to consult with our EVSE installers in Converse to determine which options are available in your area. Our team is on standby to take your call today.

A Worthwhile Investment

Electric vehicles are typically more fuel-efficient than their combustible-engine counterparts, but the charging experience is more inconvenient than fueling a traditional car. An electric vehicle charging station installation in Converse at your home can allow you to sit back as your EV charges – and it lets you take advantage of residential electricity rates, which are typically lower during off-peak hours.

The financial benefits are not restricted to charging costs. An EV charging station at home can increase the value and marketability of your property. It is a strong selling point which can distinguish your property in the real estate market.

In some cases, property owners may be able to make money from on-site EV charging stations. By offering charging services to tenants, customers, or the public, you can generate additional income streams and offset installation and maintenance costs.

Our Customers Love our Services

John was on time, explained the issue I was having, offered me a couple of options, and then repaired the switch that was giving me problems, following my preferences of the choices he had given me.  He was pleasant, professional, and did a great job.  Would not hesitate to  use Mr. Electric again!

Austin, electrician and his teammate we’re great! Both were punctual, courteous, and very informative in explaining the situation and their recommendations to replace a bad breaker in our panel.  There was NO frivolous attempt up-sale to items we didn’t need and they were straight to the point honest in their recommendation. In the end, I would described the customer service Austin and his teammate provided me as, AWESOME! Being a new home owner, I am glad I have found  this company and will be using them any future electrical needs!

Outstanding communication and very professional service.  I would highly recommend Mr. Electric.  Received both e-mails and texts on appointment to include a photo and short bio of the actual electrician (Brad Mason) who would be doing the work.  Wish all home service providers did the same.  Brad was on time (actually a few minutes early).  He installed 30AMP breaker and associated RV plug in our garage.  To avoid any sheetrock repairs it was necessary for him to drop the line to the house electric panel through a wall with foam insulation, with very limited head/body clearance for him to work.  No mess left behind from the actual plug installation on another wall.

Rick from Mr. Electric arrived when expected and quickly diagnosed the problem.  He recommended a solution and gave us a proposal for solving the problem.  We asked when he could do the work and how long would it take.  He said he could do the job that day and it would take 4 or 5 hours.  The price was reasonable, and we told him to get started.  He did a very good job, neat and within the estimated time.  The invoice amount for the job was was the same as the proposal amount.  We are planning on having Mr. Electric and hopefully Rick do more work in the near future to upgrade our home's 50+ year old electrical system. Photo of our new circuit breaker panel.
