Electrical Outlet Replacement in Terrell Hills, TX

When is the last time you checked on your electrical outlets? If you are like most people, then you probably never think twice about your electrical outlet installations. It turns out, periodically inspecting the outlets can save you from a world of pain – quite literally. If your outlets are not working, or they are giving you reason for concern, then call Mr. Electric to request an electrical outlet repair or electrical outlet replacement in Terrell Hills. Our team is ready to take your call today.

Checking On Your Electrical Outlets

Comprehensive electrical inspections cover electrical outlets, and a certified electrician is best equipped to detect and pinpoint specific issues. Still, property owners should do their part as well. Regularly inspect your electrical outlets for signs of trouble. Let’s talk about a few of these.

First, let’s talk about the risk of fire. Electrical outlets carry tremendous amounts of energy which, if unchecked, can cause electrical fires. Look for burn marks or discoloration, which can signify overheating, electrical arcing, or short circuits. If there are no burn marks, then touch the outlet. An outlet that feels hot or warm to the touch could indicate an underlying electrical problem, such as loose connections or overloaded circuits.

Next is the risk of poor wiring. Intermittent power or flickering lights, unusual sounds such as buzzing, crackling, or humming, and loose or worn outlets are just some tell-tale signs of this issue. Loose outlets can cause arcing, sparks, or electrical shocks and should be replaced or repaired by a qualified electrician.

Finally, there’s the case of improper outlets installed. GFCI outlets, for instance, should be installed in areas prone to moisture and wetness – such as the kitchen, bathroom, basement, and outdoors. Arrange an electrical outlet replacement if necessary.

Our Customers Love our Services

John was on time, explained the issue I was having, offered me a couple of options, and then repaired the switch that was giving me problems, following my preferences of the choices he had given me.  He was pleasant, professional, and did a great job.  Would not hesitate to  use Mr. Electric again!

Austin, electrician and his teammate we’re great! Both were punctual, courteous, and very informative in explaining the situation and their recommendations to replace a bad breaker in our panel.  There was NO frivolous attempt up-sale to items we didn’t need and they were straight to the point honest in their recommendation. In the end, I would described the customer service Austin and his teammate provided me as, AWESOME! Being a new home owner, I am glad I have found  this company and will be using them any future electrical needs!

Outstanding communication and very professional service.  I would highly recommend Mr. Electric.  Received both e-mails and texts on appointment to include a photo and short bio of the actual electrician (Brad Mason) who would be doing the work.  Wish all home service providers did the same.  Brad was on time (actually a few minutes early).  He installed 30AMP breaker and associated RV plug in our garage.  To avoid any sheetrock repairs it was necessary for him to drop the line to the house electric panel through a wall with foam insulation, with very limited head/body clearance for him to work.  No mess left behind from the actual plug installation on another wall.

Rick from Mr. Electric arrived when expected and quickly diagnosed the problem.  He recommended a solution and gave us a proposal for solving the problem.  We asked when he could do the work and how long would it take.  He said he could do the job that day and it would take 4 or 5 hours.  The price was reasonable, and we told him to get started.  He did a very good job, neat and within the estimated time.  The invoice amount for the job was was the same as the proposal amount.  We are planning on having Mr. Electric and hopefully Rick do more work in the near future to upgrade our home's 50+ year old electrical system. Photo of our new circuit breaker panel.
