Electrical Panel Replacement in Castle Hills, TX

The electrical panel installation is the gatekeeper of your home or business’ electrical supply. Electrical panels cut off electricity to any circuit with unusual electrical activity. Sadly, the electrical panel can become damaged or faulty, making your electrical system vulnerable. If this is the case for you, then arrange an electrical panel repair in Castle Hills as soon as possible. If you are not sure, then continue reading to learn about the common signs of trouble. If you prefer to speak to a live representative, then call Mr. Electric now to get in touch with a courteous member of our team.

Signs of a Faulty or Damaged Electrical Panel

Most residents rarely come in contact with the circuit breaker installation. A circuit breaker may trip once every now and then, but that’s about it. You might also interact with it when you leave for the holidays and turn off most of the circuits. Still, many people don’t know a faulty panel from a functional one. However, there are some signs to look out for.

One of the most common signs of an electrical panel issue is flickering lights. This can indicate there is too much demand from a particular circuit. Such a case may cause the other common sign of a faulty electrical panel: frequently tripping circuit breakers. If the circuit breakers are constantly flipping OFF, then it’s a good idea to call an electrician in Castle Hills.

Other more obvious signs of trouble include scorch marks, burning smell, or smoke coming from the electrical panel. Crackling and buzzing noises are also cause for concern. Call Mr. Electric if you notice any of these issues with your electrical panel installation in Castle Hills.

Does Your Electrical Panel Have Fuses Instead of Switches?

In the past, fuse boxes were the norm. In these electrical panels, there are fuses rather than switches. When there is unusual electricity in a circuit, the respective fuse will blow out. You will then have to replace the fuse to restore electricity.

Electrical Panel Replacement in Castle Hills, TX

As you can imagine, replacing fuses is more time-consuming and costly than simply flipping the circuit breaker back into the ON position. Fuses boxes are also more of a safety hazard, and many insurance companies offer discounts or opportunities to upgrade. If you have such a system, then call Mr. Electric for a fuse box upgrade. The long term savings and security is worth it!

Time to Replace or Upgrade Your Electrical Panel?

If your home was built in the 90s, 80s, or earlier, then it might be worth inspecting your electrical panel. Chances are it is not up to standard or able to meet the electrical demands of a modern home. If your lights flicker when you plug in an appliance, for instance, then it might be time for an electrical panel replacement.

If you are tired of scheduling an electrical panel repair after repair, then call Mr. Electric to consult with a knowledgeable member of our team. We are happy to help you explore an electrical panel replacement in Castle Hills.

Our Customers Love our Services

John was on time, explained the issue I was having, offered me a couple of options, and then repaired the switch that was giving me problems, following my preferences of the choices he had given me.  He was pleasant, professional, and did a great job.  Would not hesitate to  use Mr. Electric again!

Austin, electrician and his teammate we’re great! Both were punctual, courteous, and very informative in explaining the situation and their recommendations to replace a bad breaker in our panel.  There was NO frivolous attempt up-sale to items we didn’t need and they were straight to the point honest in their recommendation. In the end, I would described the customer service Austin and his teammate provided me as, AWESOME! Being a new home owner, I am glad I have found  this company and will be using them any future electrical needs!

Outstanding communication and very professional service.  I would highly recommend Mr. Electric.  Received both e-mails and texts on appointment to include a photo and short bio of the actual electrician (Brad Mason) who would be doing the work.  Wish all home service providers did the same.  Brad was on time (actually a few minutes early).  He installed 30AMP breaker and associated RV plug in our garage.  To avoid any sheetrock repairs it was necessary for him to drop the line to the house electric panel through a wall with foam insulation, with very limited head/body clearance for him to work.  No mess left behind from the actual plug installation on another wall.

Rick from Mr. Electric arrived when expected and quickly diagnosed the problem.  He recommended a solution and gave us a proposal for solving the problem.  We asked when he could do the work and how long would it take.  He said he could do the job that day and it would take 4 or 5 hours.  The price was reasonable, and we told him to get started.  He did a very good job, neat and within the estimated time.  The invoice amount for the job was was the same as the proposal amount.  We are planning on having Mr. Electric and hopefully Rick do more work in the near future to upgrade our home's 50+ year old electrical system.
