Is your electrical panel installation constantly tripping off? Do lights flicker when you plug things into the outlets? Are there extension cords running all around your floors? Signs of a Faulty Electrical Panel

You’re probably familiar with how the electrical panel is supposed to work. When there is unusual activity in an electrical circuit, the respective circuit breaker will "trip" into the OFF position to cut off electricity to that circuit. This can be due to overloads, short circuits, or any of other electrical issues. To return the power, you’ll have to head to the electrical panel and flip the switch back on. Simple enough.

However, what if the circuit breaker flips off again? If your circuit breakers are constantly tripping, then there’s probably a problem with the electrical panel. It’s best to call an electrician to investigate. Other signs that it’s time to call an electrician include:

  • Lights flicker or dim, especially when plugging in appliances or devices into outlets.
  • Buzzing or crackling sounds coming from the electrical panel.
  • Scorch marks, burning smells, or smoke around the electrical panel.
  • Fuses rather than switches in the circuit breaker.

If your electrical panel installation in Cibolo is giving you problems, or making you scratch your head, then call Mr. Electric to have a certified electrician come by and investigate. We are happy to arrange an emergency electrical panel repair or schedule a convenient appointment.

You May Have to Upgrade Your Old Electrical Panel

In the past, there were only a handful of electronics and appliances in homes. Nowadays, there are countless devices plugged into the outlets. So much so that many homes are flooded with extension cords. Though convenient, these cords are not exactly safe. They are trip hazards and can actually cause electrical issues. After all, you might be demanding too much electricity from that one electrical circuit.

If you find yourself using multiple extension cords, then it might be time to upgrade your electrical panel. Our electricians can install new circuits and electrical outlets so that you can safely use all of your gadgets.

Electrical Panel Replacement in Cibolo, TX

Another reason you may need to upgrade your electrical panel is if it uses fuses rather than circuit breakers. While a circuit breaker installation allows you to simply flip a switch to toggle the electricity supply. A blown fuse must be changed. This can be time-consuming and costly in the long run.

Whether you need an electrical panel replacement or a fuse box upgrade, the electricians at Mr. Electric can help. Call now to consult with a member of our team.

Our Customers Love our Services

John was on time, explained the issue I was having, offered me a couple of options, and then repaired the switch that was giving me problems, following my preferences of the choices he had given me.  He was pleasant, professional, and did a great job.  Would not hesitate to  use Mr. Electric again!

Austin, electrician and his teammate we’re great! Both were punctual, courteous, and very informative in explaining the situation and their recommendations to replace a bad breaker in our panel.  There was NO frivolous attempt up-sale to items we didn’t need and they were straight to the point honest in their recommendation. In the end, I would described the customer service Austin and his teammate provided me as, AWESOME! Being a new home owner, I am glad I have found  this company and will be using them any future electrical needs!

Outstanding communication and very professional service.  I would highly recommend Mr. Electric.  Received both e-mails and texts on appointment to include a photo and short bio of the actual electrician (Brad Mason) who would be doing the work.  Wish all home service providers did the same.  Brad was on time (actually a few minutes early).  He installed 30AMP breaker and associated RV plug in our garage.  To avoid any sheetrock repairs it was necessary for him to drop the line to the house electric panel through a wall with foam insulation, with very limited head/body clearance for him to work.  No mess left behind from the actual plug installation on another wall.

Rick from Mr. Electric arrived when expected and quickly diagnosed the problem.  He recommended a solution and gave us a proposal for solving the problem.  We asked when he could do the work and how long would it take.  He said he could do the job that day and it would take 4 or 5 hours.  The price was reasonable, and we told him to get started.  He did a very good job, neat and within the estimated time.  The invoice amount for the job was was the same as the proposal amount.  We are planning on having Mr. Electric and hopefully Rick do more work in the near future to upgrade our home's 50+ year old electrical system.
