Electrical Wiring in Fair Oaks Ranch, TX

The electrical wiring in our buildings is the lifeline of modern living, powering the many devices, electronics, and appliances in our homes and businesses. Thanks to modern engineering, they are well-contained, efficient, and safe. However, home wiring can succumb to accidental damage, power surges, wear and tear, and other forces of nature, time, and chance.

If you suspect your whole house electrical wiring in Fair Oaks Ranch, TX is shaky, unreliable, or downright dangerous, then call Mr. Electric to have a certified electrician investigate. Mr. Electric is a reputable business with uniformed professionals. Our team is always ready to address questions, concerns, or requests.

The hidden risks of neglected wiring

Your whole house electrical wiring runs through the many walls and to electrical panels, outlets, switches, and so forth. Though it works day and night to power our modern lifestyle, the electrical wiring is often out of sight and out of mind.

Responsible homeowners will actively monitor their electrical wiring, and disassociated ones will pay a price. Here are some common risks associated with neglected or aging electrical wiring:

  • Accidental Damage: Physical damage to wiring due to renovations, pests, or human error.
  • Power Surges: Surges in electrical voltage, often caused by lightning strikes, faulty appliances, or utility grid fluctuations, can damage sensitive electronic equipment and pose a fire risk.
  • Wear and Tear: Over time, wiring insulation can degrade, wires can become loose, and connections may corrode, increasing the risk of electrical malfunctions and hazards.
  • Aging Infrastructure: Older homes and buildings may have outdated wiring that does not meet current safety standards, putting occupants at risk of electrical accidents.

Being familiar with these threats is fundamental in laying a solid line of defense. Still, you should pay attention for signs of trouble.

How’s your electrical wiring in Fair Oaks Ranch? If you’re like most homeowners, you are not so sure. Professional inspections once every couple of years is essential, and annual checkups are recommended. Still, you should be alert for red flags. Some warning signs include:

John was on time, explained the issue I was having, offered me a couple of options, and then repaired the switch that was giving me problems, following my preferences of the choices he had given me.  He was pleasant, professional, and did a great job.  Would not hesitate to  use Mr. Electric again!

Austin, electrician and his teammate we’re great! Both were punctual, courteous, and very informative in explaining the situation and their recommendations to replace a bad breaker in our panel.  There was NO frivolous attempt up-sale to items we didn’t need and they were straight to the point honest in their recommendation. In the end, I would described the customer service Austin and his teammate provided me as, AWESOME! Being a new home owner, I am glad I have found  this company and will be using them any future electrical needs!

Outstanding communication and very professional service.  I would highly recommend Mr. Electric.  Received both e-mails and texts on appointment to include a photo and short bio of the actual electrician (Brad Mason) who would be doing the work.  Wish all home service providers did the same.  Brad was on time (actually a few minutes early).  He installed 30AMP breaker and associated RV plug in our garage.  To avoid any sheetrock repairs it was necessary for him to drop the line to the house electric panel through a wall with foam insulation, with very limited head/body clearance for him to work.  No mess left behind from the actual plug installation on another wall.

Rick from Mr. Electric arrived when expected and quickly diagnosed the problem.  He recommended a solution and gave us a proposal for solving the problem.  We asked when he could do the work and how long would it take.  He said he could do the job that day and it would take 4 or 5 hours.  The price was reasonable, and we told him to get started.  He did a very good job, neat and within the estimated time.  The invoice amount for the job was was the same as the proposal amount.  We are planning on having Mr. Electric and hopefully Rick do more work in the near future to upgrade our home's 50+ year old electrical system.
