Electrical Wiring in Seguin, TX

Electrical wiring is the freeway for electricity to reach and power our countless electronics, devices, appliances, and equipment. Although miles of electrical wiring run through the walls and ceilings of homes and businesses in our city, we give them little thought.

It turns out, our home wiring needs our help just as much as we use theirs. Get in the habit of inspecting your electrical wiring in Seguin, TX, and call Mr. Electric if you notice signs of trouble. Our certified electricians are ready to take your call or message today.

Recognize the signs of electrical wiring trouble

A certified electrician is keen on the subtle warning signs that the average eye may overlook, but there are some obvious signs that homeowners can watch out for:

  • Flickering Lights: This issue may stem from loose connections, overloaded circuits, or deteriorating wiring. While occasional flickering can be normal, persistent or worsening flickering could indicate underlying wiring problems.
  • Frequently Tripping Circuit Breakers: Circuit breakers are designed to trip and cut off power when there’s an overload or short circuit. If your circuit breakers trip frequently without an obvious cause, like using multiple high-powered devices simultaneously, then there may be an issue with the electrical wiring.
  • Burning Odor or Scorch Marks: A burning smell from outlets, switches, or electrical panels is a serious RED FLAG. It could indicate overheating or arcing within the wiring, which poses a SERIOUS fire risk.
  • Outdated Wiring: Homes or buildings with outdated wiring, such as knob-and-tube or aluminum wiring, are more prone to safety issues. If your home is over 40 years old, then it might be worthwhile to look into a whole house electrical wiring.

The electrical system is incredibly useful, but it can also be awfully dangerous. Frayed wires pushing 240 volts can cause injury or death. Mr. Electric is proud to offer emergency electrical service and upfront pricing. Call Mr. Electric to speak with a member of our team today.

Our Customers Love our Services

John was on time, explained the issue I was having, offered me a couple of options, and then repaired the switch that was giving me problems, following my preferences of the choices he had given me.  He was pleasant, professional, and did a great job.  Would not hesitate to  use Mr. Electric again!

Austin, electrician and his teammate we’re great! Both were punctual, courteous, and very informative in explaining the situation and their recommendations to replace a bad breaker in our panel.  There was NO frivolous attempt up-sale to items we didn’t need and they were straight to the point honest in their recommendation. In the end, I would described the customer service Austin and his teammate provided me as, AWESOME! Being a new home owner, I am glad I have found  this company and will be using them any future electrical needs!

Outstanding communication and very professional service.  I would highly recommend Mr. Electric.  Received both e-mails and texts on appointment to include a photo and short bio of the actual electrician (Brad Mason) who would be doing the work.  Wish all home service providers did the same.  Brad was on time (actually a few minutes early).  He installed 30AMP breaker and associated RV plug in our garage.  To avoid any sheetrock repairs it was necessary for him to drop the line to the house electric panel through a wall with foam insulation, with very limited head/body clearance for him to work.  No mess left behind from the actual plug installation on another wall.

Rick from Mr. Electric arrived when expected and quickly diagnosed the problem.  He recommended a solution and gave us a proposal for solving the problem.  We asked when he could do the work and how long would it take.  He said he could do the job that day and it would take 4 or 5 hours.  The price was reasonable, and we told him to get started.  He did a very good job, neat and within the estimated time.  The invoice amount for the job was was the same as the proposal amount.  We are planning on having Mr. Electric and hopefully Rick do more work in the near future to upgrade our home's 50+ year old electrical system. Photo of our new circuit breaker panel.
