Electrical Wiring in Selma, TX

Electrical wiring serves as the vital highway that seamlessly powers our electronics, appliances, and equipment. Despite its crucial role, the wiring within our homes and businesses often goes unnoticed. However, neglecting the condition of your electrical wiring can lead to safety hazards and frustrating inconvenience. At Mr. Electric, we prioritize the safety and functionality of your electrical wiring in Selma, TX, and our certified electricians are always ready to help.

Beware: Electricity is deadly

Electricity is so pervasive in our lives, humbly powering our countless electronics and appliances, but few of us consciously grasp the risks that come with it. Understanding the signs of electrical wiring problems is the first step in protecting ourselves, others, and property. Here are some red flags to watch out for:

  • Flickering Lights
  • Frequently Tripping Circuit Breakers
  • Burning Odor or Scorch Marks on Outlets, Switches, and/or Electrical Panel
  • Outdated Wiring
  • Buzzing Sounds from Outlets, Switches, Electrical Panel, or Appliances

If you notice any of these warning flags in your home wiring, then have a certified electrician investigate as soon as possible. Mr. Electric is here when you need urgent assistance.

Troubleshooting tips for your electrical wiring

While some minor electrical issues can be addressed by homeowners, you must prioritize safety and know when to seek professional help. Here are some troubleshooting tips for common electrical concerns:

  • Check Circuit Loads: If a circuit frequently trips, unplug devices and appliances from that circuit to determine if overloading is the issue.
  • Inspect Outlets and Switches: Regularly inspect outlets and switches for signs of wear, damage, or discoloration.
  • Upgrade to LED Lighting: Consider replacing incandescent bulbs with energy-efficient LED bulbs. LED lights produce less heat, reducing the risk of overheating electrical fixtures.

While it's tempting to tackle electrical repairs yourself, especially for minor issues, you must remember that electricity is volatile and dangerous. Avoid DIY repairs involving wiring or electrical panels. Instead, consult a certified electrician for professional assistance. Mr. Electric is always ready to help.

Our Customers Love our Services

John was on time, explained the issue I was having, offered me a couple of options, and then repaired the switch that was giving me problems, following my preferences of the choices he had given me.  He was pleasant, professional, and did a great job.  Would not hesitate to  use Mr. Electric again!

Austin, electrician and his teammate we’re great! Both were punctual, courteous, and very informative in explaining the situation and their recommendations to replace a bad breaker in our panel.  There was NO frivolous attempt up-sale to items we didn’t need and they were straight to the point honest in their recommendation. In the end, I would described the customer service Austin and his teammate provided me as, AWESOME! Being a new home owner, I am glad I have found  this company and will be using them any future electrical needs!

Outstanding communication and very professional service.  I would highly recommend Mr. Electric.  Received both e-mails and texts on appointment to include a photo and short bio of the actual electrician (Brad Mason) who would be doing the work.  Wish all home service providers did the same.  Brad was on time (actually a few minutes early).  He installed 30AMP breaker and associated RV plug in our garage.  To avoid any sheetrock repairs it was necessary for him to drop the line to the house electric panel through a wall with foam insulation, with very limited head/body clearance for him to work.  No mess left behind from the actual plug installation on another wall.

Rick from Mr. Electric arrived when expected and quickly diagnosed the problem.  He recommended a solution and gave us a proposal for solving the problem.  We asked when he could do the work and how long would it take.  He said he could do the job that day and it would take 4 or 5 hours.  The price was reasonable, and we told him to get started.  He did a very good job, neat and within the estimated time.  The invoice amount for the job was was the same as the proposal amount.  We are planning on having Mr. Electric and hopefully Rick do more work in the near future to upgrade our home's 50+ year old electrical system. Photo of our new circuit breaker panel.
